HOW TO VOTE
To register to vote one must be a
citizen of the United State, be at least 18 years old and have
lived in the county one day. You may register at the County
Clerk's Office in the Courthouse or by mail, using the Mail-in
Registration Card, at least ten days before the election. The
County Clerk will tell you where you will go to vote; the
newspaper will tell you when. You need to re-register only if
you have changed your name, your address or your political
party.
It is the duty of every citizen to
become informed on issues and candidates and VOTE on Election
Day.
Nebraska's OPEN MEETING LAW: "It is
hereby declared to be the policy of this state that the
information of public policy is public business and may not be
conducted in secret. Every meeting of a public body shall be
open to the public in order that citizens may exercise their
democratic privilege of attending and peaking at meetings of the
pubic bodies." |
